TCA Peel

Who are the Ideal Candidates for TCA Peel Treatment?

You may be a candidate for a TCA chemical peel if you have sun damaged skin; fine wrinkles and lines; or brown spots and skin discoloration.

How are TCA Peel Treatments Performed?

Our 40% TCA (Tri-Chloracetic Acid) peel is performed in our office and you may go home the same day. A mild burning or tingling sensation can be felt as the solution is rubbed onto your skin and a fan is used to help alleviate any discomfort during the procedure. Your skin will appear red immediately following the peel and you may also experience some mild swelling. Light activity is recommended for the first couple of days. Any sun damage you have will appear to darken and come to the surface of the skin and you will begin to peel 2-3 days after the procedure. Most patients are finished peeling within seven to eight days. Your skin will be pink for a few weeks following the procedure but this can be easily covered with makeup.
