Better IPL with Lumecca

You’ve probably heard of Intense Pulse Light (IPL). Similar to laser energy, IPL is different because it delivers a wider bandwidth of light energy than the single bandwidth delivered by lasers. This allows IPL to treat a wider variety of skin issues at one time. But Dr. Kearney doesn’t like to walk in place — […]

Allergan Textured Implants and Cancer

On March 21, 2017, the U.S. FDA made a safety announcement about a link between textured breast implants and a very rare form of cancer: anaplastic large-cell lymphoma. In the announcement, the FDA called the cancer “breast implant-associated anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL). Since then, the ante has been upped. On May 28 of last year, […]

Have You Heard of Ideal Implants?

At Dr. Kearney’s we have patients who are interested in adding volume and shape to their breasts, but they’re not keen on using silicone implants to do so. Although they’ve heard silicone provides a more natural feeling result and doesn’t come with some of the problems with saline implants (such as rippling), they’re concerned about […]

Two Ways to a Tighter Tummy

Unless you’re 21 or are able to spend half of every single day working out, odds are you’re not thrilled with your lower abdomen. Make It a Cool New Year

CoolSculpting® freezes and the body then eliminates 20-23% of the fat in the treated areas. This revolutionary body-sculpting treatment is having its 10th anniversary — the FDA approved CoolSculpting® in September 2010 for […]

Botox — the Crow’s Feet Elf

This time around La Jolla and San Diego there’s no shortage of social events: office parties, dinners with neighbors, family get-togethers, and more. As we get older most of us would be OK if we could get the Back to the Future Delorean to go fetch a younger version of ourselves to head to all these […]

Want to Dump Your Double Chin for 2020?

We all like to think that everyone else looks like Orson Welles or Chris Christie when it comes to a little extra business going on under our chins. Reality? Most of us have some accumulated fat under our chin, creating that annoyance known as a double chin. Want to feel better? Call it submental fullness. […]
