The Procedure

Patients usually require 3-4 sessions spaced about four weeks apart, depending on your skin condition and schedule. Since the Fraxel only treats approximately 30 percent of your skin at a time, downtime is minimal. Most patients experience some pinkness as well as minimal swelling, which usually subsides in 2-3 days.

Recovery & Follow-Up

A topical anesthetic is applied 60 minutes prior to treatment to reduce discomfort, and each treatment takes about 30 minutes to complete. Many patients are able to return to routine activities following their treatment. Results are immediate and progressive and most patients see optimal results in 2-3 months.
