In a standard lift, the incision is made around the nipple-areolar complex and runs vertically from the bottom of the areola to the crease beneath the breast and then horizontally along the breast crease. This type of incision is called the “anchor” incision and is usually a good option for patients who have a significant amount of breast sagging or those with nipples that point downward.
Your breast lift may also be a mix of the two lift methods. This option is best for patients with moderate sagging. The result of this breast lift technique is a “lollipop” type scar.
